Paradox

The paradox of the callen,
Is he's callen before he's ready
The paradox of the fallen,
Is he's fallen before he's steady

The dreams they may come
but nightmares will follow
the feats, they'll be done
but their pride they will swallow

The stakes they will raise
and the lowest will greet them
Their gods they will praise
Their "whole-hearted" defeats them

In sickness and health
the world slowly crumbles
In poverty and wealth
The highest, it humbles

The paradox of the dead
is to one day rise again
the paradox of man
is "I am whom I am".
